Castle Rock Economic Gardeners Business Boot Camp

Are you interested in growing your Castle Rock business? The Business Boot Camp has been designed for established business owners (3+ years) to be provided with business training, peer group accountability and leader mentors during a high impact workshop series.

The December session of the Chamber's Business Boot Camp was the first of two addressing financial monitoring. Instructor Mike Tafoya, CEO Coach at Estrada Strategies - DTC, pointed out that financial reports are the "steering wheel" of the business. Numbers tell the real story about the performance and condition of a company.

The participants focused on the Income Statement (measuring the efficiency of the operation over time) and the Balance Sheet (measuring the company's financial health at a moment in time). "Flying blind" while running a business is a recipe for failure. However, systematic monitoring of the details in these reports can provide early warning and guidance so the owner can keep the company on course.

The January session will continue on this track and cover the Cash Flow statement and various financial performance ratios.

This is one of a series of Business Boot Camp training highlights by Brian Leugs, President of Business Communications Support, Boot Camp Mentor and Castle Rock Chamber Member. Keep abreast of training information being imparted each month by Boot Camp instructor, Mike Tafoya, of Estrada Strategies.

Kevin Ellman

"As a prosecutor for over eight years, I had no relevant "real world business experience" when I opened my law firm in 2007. I did fine for those first few years not really knowing how much I didn't know. Fortunately, in 2010 I enrolled in and completed the CREG Business bootcamp and now my Firm is much more effectively managed and efficiently run. Thanks to the bootcamp, I now know how much I didn't know about running a business."

Kevin T. Ellmann, Ellmann and Ellmann, PC.
